How to Make Pan Cai
Pan cai is a healthy food thanks to the nutritious vegetables it contains. Pan cai is made by steaming the vegetables in a steamer. The vegetables can include lettuce, celery, eggplant, sweet potato, green onion, and so on. This recipe for pan cai using eggplant as the base will feed a family of four.
2 big green onions
White flour (enough to form a coating)
Pour the water into the steamer.Turn on the stove, place the steamer on it and wait for the water to boil.
Wash the eggplants.Then cut the eggplants into small cubes. Cut the green onions into the same size as the eggplant cubes.
Place the eggplants into a bowl.Put the green onion into the eggplants, put enough natron salt into bowl and mix with the eggplants and onion.
Add enough salt, seasoning, oil into the bowl.Mix the condiments with the eggplants and onion cubes.
Add the white flour to the bowl.Mix to combine, making sure that you have sufficient flour and neither too much nor too little, in order to coat the ingredients.
Check the steamer.If the water is boiling, you can put the coated ingredients into the food steamer. Close the pot cover.
Wait for several minutes until the steamer is steaming.Then look at the time, and continue to wait for 15 minutes more.
