For Donatella Versace 2019 was the year of paying respects to her late genius brother. First, she staged the most epic Spring 2019 show in Milan. The designer gathered the supers Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Helena Christensen, Carla Bruni and Claudia Schiffer for an iconic closure. It was officially the biggest runway show of MFW, which had all of the guests on their feet and applauding. Just recently, Versace released their Pre-Fall 2019 collection that also celebrates the work of Gianni. Now, just in time for holiday season, Donatella is bringing more excitement for everyone.
For the Spring 2019 campaign, the designer once again tapped the biggest modeling names in fashion. From the sneak peek, we could see that the ad material will feature several different generations of models. From the five OGs that walked the spectacular runway finale in September, only Naomi Campbell appears in the campaign. The supermodel will be accompanied by other veterans such as Natalia Vodianova, Christy Turlington, Gisele Bündchen, Raquel Zimmermann, and Irina Shayk. There is also a second generation of up-and-coming names that are here to follow and learn from the supermodels.
Kaia Gerber is flaunting a chic pale blue ensemble on the photos, with voluminous 90s hairstyle and show-stopping accessories. Among the other Insta-popular models you will see Gigi Hadid, Grace Elizabeth, Cara Taylor, Brigit Kos, Vittoria Ceretti and more.
“It has been amazing shooting this campaign surrounded by all of my friends and some of Gianni’s to whom this collection is a tribute. I felt so many different emotions at the same time, but they were all very positive. There was such a joyful energy in the air, it was like I went in a travel machine and went back to the nineties. It was like if Gianni was on set with us.”- Versace told WWD.
The campaign shows off the designs from the Spring 2019 collection. Shot by, Steven Meisel, you’ll notice heavy 90s vibes. Since Donatella’s creations pay homage to Gianni’s work, all of his recognizable prints once again came to life. His clothes were all about making a statement and standing out. And there is no better way to do that but with eye-catching designs that feature luxury fabrics, bold patterns, and vibrant colors.
The full campaign will make a debut on December 18. You can expect to see many photos and videos that will bring you back to the best years in fashion. The guess is that we will be hearing much more about Gianni and his phenomenal talent in the upcoming year too. In January, FX will premiere a short series titled “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story”.

Omega is launching a new line of women’s watches. The “Tresor” collection was inspired by the first Tresor line released back in 1949. And the brand sure knows how to promote their products. For the ad campaign this time they teamed up with Kaia Gerber. Cindy Crawford’s daughter is one of the most sought-after models at the moment. Kaia rose to fame during the fashion month in September, when she walked every single high-end runway show. The promo material was shot by the iconic photographer Peter Lindbergh.
The collection is made of nine different watches, all of them elegant and sophisticated. They will be available in two sizes: 36mm and 39mm. You can also choose between two materials. The first one is stainless steel while the second one is Omega’s signature material Sedna gold. This is a unique alloy made of 18 carats rose gold. It’s ultimately feminine and chic. All 9 designs will be decorated with 39 diamonds placed in asymmetric shapes on the upper left and lower right part of the bezel. The dials feature Roman numbers and are available in colors such as blue, black, silver, taupe, white and pearl. Omega wanted to add a sophisticated element to the case back of the watches.
“Omega has included a special mirrored case back with a ‘Her Time’ design. While providing a useful accessory at hand, the inclusion is more about the idea of reflection, giving women a reminder of who they are and the natural charisma they possess.”- the brand says in their statement.
Although Kaia is only 16, she is on a good path to becoming the most popular model in the world. Crawford’s mini-me is also the ambassador of Marc Jacobs Beauty, which was one of her first huge collaborations. Since then, the young star also fronted the campaign of Hudson Jeans and more.
Cindy has been an ambassador of the luxury watch company for over 20 years. Both of her kids, Kaia and Presley have also signed with Omega this October. The brand released a campaign that featured all the members of their family, including Crawford’s husband Rande Gerber.
For now, the “Tresor” collection will only be available in the USA and Japan. The brand plans to distribute it internationally in 2019. It is in the higher range when it comes to pricing. This is understandable since Omega sells luxury watches. The stainless steel designs will cost ,500, while the 18 carats Sedna rose gold will retail for ,600.

The 2019 Fashion Awards, formerly known as the British Fashion Awards took place at Royal Albert Hall in London last night. This is one of the most glamorous fashion events of the year. It celebrates all the talented personalities in the industry starting from designers, and brands to models. This year’s edition was attended by an array of influencers that had a very successful year. The awards show also made a tribute in partnership with Swarovskito several iconic names that the fashion world lost.
Adwoa Aboah won one of the most important acknowledgments of the night. She was crowned as the “Model of the Year”, snatching the award from Kaia Gerber, the Hadid sisters, and Winnie Harlow. Adwoa made a bold fashion choice flaunting sparkling mini dress from Halpern. The mini sequined ensemble was seen on the SS 2019 runway show of the brand. It was probably the most eye-catching piece of the night. After all, the winner deserves to shine brightly. The supermodel finished off the look with a pair of platform sandals and a metallic turban. Her Louboutin shoes were encrusted with 2000 Swarovski crystals.

The Chairman of the British Fashion Council, Natalie Massenet and the CEO Caroline Rush revealed the nominations for this year’s awards. The two were accompanied by Nadja Swarovski, who is a part of the executive board of the luxury brand. Swarovski is the leading sponsor of the awards. Every single nominee has made a remarkable contribution in some way for the industry during the past year. In 2019 the event was rebranded and excluded the word “British” from the name. The whole point is to make the Fashion Awards more international.

But the already famous young model turned 16 just in time to make her debut during NYFW. The first fashion show for Kaia was Calvin Klein’s spring show. Another pleasant surprise from Hudson Jeans is their upcoming collaboration with Baja East. Baja East is a fairly new luxury brand, established in 2013, by the designers John Targon and Scott Studenberg. They are known for their ambisexual designs, that are described as laid-back luxury. The idea of the duo is to produce everyday wear, that combines male and female cuts. The exclusive Baja East X Hudson Jeans line will be revealed during Baja’s runway show at the New York Fashion Week. The show is scheduled for September 12, and this will be the first time for Hudson Jeans to appear on the NYFW.
Hudson Jeans is an emerging Los-Angeles-based denim company. The jeans brand was founded in 2002, and it is a favorite place to shop for many celebrities including Cara Delevingne, Solange Knowles, and others. Georgia May-Jagger was the previous muse of the brand. She starred in several of their campaigns throughout the years. Hudson Jeans is making huge efforts to grow their business globally. The brand constantly advertises and hires emerging young faces in the fashion industry. During the FYF Festival in Los Angeles, the denim label appeared as the official sponsor of the event. The biggest stars of the event such as Jaime King, Chanel Iman, and Vanessa Hudgens were dressed in their popular jeans.

Karla Welch and Justin Bieber teamed up on a T-shirt collection. The popular singer collaborated with his stylist in creating a line of plain white T-shirts that are going to be sold at each.This is only the first thing in a series of new products to expect from Welch’s new brand xKarla. The American clothing brand Hanes is the manufacturer of the shirts.
Karla is a popular celebrity stylist that has collaborated with many huge stars such as Justin Bieber, Lorde, Ruth Negga, and more. She is the same stylist that transformed Justin from a teen star to a super fashionable style icon. She got the initial idea right before Bieber’s Purpose tour. He asked her for the perfect white tees that are going to be long. But since they can’t really be found anywhere, Welch had to go to Kmart and buy triple-XL shirts and remake them. The stylist had to come up with a special pattern, take them apart and redo them all over again so that the tees would satisfy Justin’s criteria. According to her, she made over 600 white T-shirts for the singer in the past few years.
“We wanted something oversized but not super crazy … but where we ran into trouble was finding the right fabric,” Karla said. “We both loved Hanes white cotton T-shirts. By the time the Purpose tour came along, we had this love of T-shirts together.”
The young model Kaia Gerber and Victoria’s Secret angel Joan Smalls are the faces of the campaign, alongside Justin of course. Karla’s husband Matthew Welch is the photographer that did the shoot. The ad campaign was inspired by the 90s and the work of Robert Longo and Robert Mapplethorpe. The collection will offer seven different styles of cool and affordable white shirts including crop tops, sleeveless shirts, tees, oversized tees, baby shirts, and more. Some of the styles are more fitted with a tighter neck ring, while others are loose and have that athleisure vibe. Sizes will range between XS and XXL.
The white tees will be available starting from today. They will exclusively be sold on xKarla.com, and on August 6 you’ll be able to get them at a Maxfield pop-up store in Los Angeles. Since Welch didn’t want to share more about what we should expect next from her brand, all we can do is wait. The next drop according to the stylist will be in October.
